Watermelon Margarita

Watermelon margaritas with little to no effort? Count me in!  This week I decided to make a piece of watermelon into an "edible" margarita. I must say it came out as a utter success!

What you'll need:
  • 1 Watermelon
  • Tequila
  • Triple Sec
  • Lime juice
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Kosher Salt
  • Knife

The directions for this is super simple. First cut up your watermelon into slices and put them into a large mixing bowl. Once you've cut as many pieces as you'd like to serve, start by pouring the tequila over the watermelon. Depending on how many pieces of watermelon you've cut, the amount of liquor will change but please be mindful & don't over do it. I used approximately 1/2 oz of tequila per slice of watermelon. Once you've added the tequila, then add 1/4 ounce of both triple sec and lime juice.
All you have to do now is let it soak! The watermelon absorbs the liquor quite fast so you won't have to wait long for your watermelon margarita's to be ready. The longer you let them sit the more they will absorb, but either way they came out delicious. The salty finish to this edible margarita is the finishing touch. Sprinkle kosher salt (as shown below) onto your slice of soaked watermelon and take a bite out of your  first ever  edible watermelon margarita!
